Reply to this meme by yelling 'WORDS!', and I will give you five words that remind me of you. Then post them in your journal and explain what they mean to you. Keep in mind that if I don't know you that well, your words might end up kind of esoteric/oblique. You'll only get given five words if you do include 'WORDS!' in a reply to this post, meaning you can safely comment (should you wish to do so) without having to play.
Words given to me by
arhh :
Poland - I do ramble way too often about my country, don't I? Well, maybe not ramble, but complain. Yeah. Living here's not that easy. Can't buy lots of good stuff-- shipping from US or UK is way too expensive (also, currency stuff-- gives me headache). Not sleeping well/long enough-- 'real' life begins when the evening begins in the US, which is around midnight/two o'clock here (for example, last House livestream started around quarter to three a.m. here and I had a phonetics exam around nine a.m., but who the hell cares?). I love my country, I really do, but...
Spock - everything is about Spock. I mean, really. Up to the point when I can't think without making a connection with this yummy Vulcan hottie (ohshit, blasphemy!!! D:) I always had a thing for logical, un-feeling men: Holmes, 47, House, Jeeves, Hannibal Lecter. Spock is like the very definition of them, because he's also alien, which makes him even more of an outsider. (there's also the whole story about me wanting to be just like them, but I grew up, thank God)
Star Trek - The Ultimate Fandom. And I mean that. Whatever you think of, it's already there. Angst, hurt/comfort, crossdressing, alternate realities, BDSM, fluff, evil twins/counterparts, genderbending (kinda sorta), psychic powers, aliens. Also, Kirk and Spock as the proud 'daddies' of slash. What more do you need from life?
House - my first real fandom, and I think I'm stuck with it. Not that I'm complaining, hell no. If it wasn't for House fanfics I'd never chose English (learning, translating, whatever) as my future. Reading and listening to podfics really helped me improve my skills. Also, it has Hugh Laurie and Robert Sean Leonard, two of the hottest men living. I admit, I watch it for them and for slash. Pity TPTB seems to like screwing with watchers and keeps inventing weird plots and ruining characters (Cuddy, for example), but I hope they're going to fix it. With what's happened so far in s6, I guess somebody has realised what they were doing wrong. Keep it up, guys.
Friends - have a few, thank God. There was a time when I thought I can live without them and I was so wrong. I was stupid back then, but they forgave me. I really don't know what I'd do without them. Probably I'd be dead by now, literally. I've also met a few really awesome people online, and one of them I can actually call my BFF. Or a mind-twin. Or t'hy'la. And it's
h_e_r_b_a_t_a . I love you, gal!
